Next Step

Allready Roll second edition has passed. Time flies like crazy, temperatures are rising, days getting longer. SUMMER IS COMING!!! People on skates, blades and inlines all over. Suddenly a buzz on the streets. Whenever we have the sun shining we always remember that it could also be the last day with sun for the rest of the year. So some people overdo it and start walking around in t-shirts, bare arms and sunglasses (when the temperature is only 17 degrees Celcius, which is obviously still very cold).

The coming events are starting to get final dates now. For April allready 2 skateparties which could be a sign for a very busy skate summer. I don´t mind ;-)
Do not have any big holidayplans so I will carefully spread my days off on fridays or
mondays this coming summer hahahaha.

Finally I´ve come to the next step of training. NOT look down at my skates. Whenever I take a look at photo´s while skating, about 80% of the pics I stare at my skates. Gotta finally stop doing that. But it seems a very bad habit to quit. So I try my best now to look straight ahead, which seems like learning all over again. Some steps suddenly feel totally different just because you do not use the eyes anymore to correct yourself. It becomes even more so the sense of feeling. The basic steps I perform perfectly and they feel just like walking and looking at the scenery around you. Now it´s time for the more difficult ones and perform them just as easily.

And as ever; never forget about the basics and always keep on going cultivating and
bettering your skills to become a performer of excellence. Not a performer for the public in case you´re wondering, but a performer of excellence when I look straight ahead into the mirror. Everytime I think it becomes easier I´m being set back one way or another. Difficulties always arise when you strive for more, then the overcoming becomes the aim. And that is exactly what keeps me going.

Wishing for a feracious, prosperous and very exuberant summer..
